We're very proud of our prize-winning herd of Aberdeen Angus. We moved here in 1995 with commercial AA cattle, but we didn’t start the pedigree herd until 1998. Now we run 25 pedigree cows and a commercial flock of sheep. The cows are outwintered on the downs, and all calve outside, with heifers calving at 24 to 26 months. The breeding of the cattle is a mix of Nightingale and Netherton lines which appear to give hardy, productive stock that have the ability to weather the Cornish winters.
