From time to time, we have pedigree stock for sale. Photographs and details will appear on this page.
Herd Sires
The three main stock bulls that have been used are:
- Nightingale Pretender,
- a BCC Eillenmere son with milk figures of +14.
- Lockerley Arnie,
- a Nightingale Papa son with milk figures of +13. He has left heifers with depth and good type with high EBVs.
- Netherton Frenchman,
- got by ET, a TLA Northern Samurai son out of the 9000 gns Netherton Frances A103. His first crop of calves are eagerly awaited for 2009.
Other sires used through ET and AI have been Idvies Jester Eric A057 with a TI of 32, Netherton Fabulous Cruz, Netherton Kiwi Sam A141 and the Moss Mr Eshton D409.
Females
The main families are Miss Burgess, Blackbird, Erica and the Frances/Fleur/Flora lines. Concentrating on mothering ability and good milk figures, we are also interested in teat placement. As most cows calve on the downs, the young calves need all the help they can get!
